River Landing is made up of more than twenty distinct neighborhoods spread across two championship golf courses, lakes, woodlands, and the Cape Fear River. Use the map below to get oriented before exploring each neighborhood in more detail.

River Landing Neighborhood Types

River Landing is organized into three neighborhood types: Estate, Residential, and Village. Understanding the differences between them is a helpful first step before exploring the individual neighborhoods below.

Estate Neighborhoods

Estate neighborhoods feature River Landing's largest homesites, generally ranging from approximately one-half acre to more than an acre. These neighborhoods offer additional space between homes, greater flexibility in home placement, and a variety of golf, water, and wooded settings. River Landing is home to six Estate neighborhoods, each with its own distinct character and setting.

Residential Neighborhoods

Residential neighborhoods make up the majority of River Landing and offer a wide variety of homesites throughout the community. These neighborhoods include a mix of interior, golf course, water, and wooded settings, with homesites that provide a balance of space, privacy, and neighborhood character. Together, they represent the largest and most diverse collection of neighborhoods within River Landing.

Village Neighborhoods

Village neighborhoods feature River Landing's smallest homesites, creating a more compact neighborhood layout while maintaining the same architectural standards found throughout the community. These neighborhoods offer manageable outdoor space and are located in several areas of River Landing, providing a distinct neighborhood style within the community.

Candlewood

Village Neighborhood

Located near the heart of River Landing, Candlewood is one of the community's Village neighborhoods. Surrounded by larger Residential sections, it offers a more compact neighborhood layout while providing convenient access to many of River Landing's primary amenities.

Cardinal Crest

Residential Neighborhood

Located along the eastern side of River Landing, Cardinal Crest is a smaller Residential neighborhood with a compact layout. Homesites include a mix of interior, pond-adjacent, and golf course settings.

Cedar Point

Village Neighborhood

Located near the center of River Landing, Cedar Point is one of the community's Village neighborhoods. A mix of interior, pond-adjacent, and lake-oriented homesites gives the neighborhood a stronger connection to water than many other Village sections, while its central location provides convenient access to River Landing's clubhouse and amenities.

Firefly Meadow

Residential Neighborhood

Firefly Meadow is a residential neighborhood located along the eastern side of River Landing. Its elongated layout includes a mix of interior, golf course, pond-adjacent, and wooded homesites, giving the neighborhood a variety of settings and views throughout.

Legacy Lakes

Residential Neighborhood

Legacy Lakes is a Residential neighborhood located in the northern portion of River Landing. Several lakes are woven throughout the neighborhood, creating a mix of water-oriented and interior homesites. Many properties also enjoy golf course views across the water, a combination that defines much of Legacy Lakes.

Legacy Oaks

Residential Neighborhood

Legacy Oaks combines the Legacy Oaks and Legacy Oaks West neighborhoods in the northern portion of River Landing. Together, they include wooded, water-oriented, and golf-adjacent homesites across two smaller Residential sections.

Legacy Woods

Residential Neighborhood

Legacy Woods is one of River Landing's Residential neighborhoods, located in the northern portion of the community. The neighborhood features a mix of golf course, water-oriented, and interior homesites, with a more compact layout than many of River Landing's other Residential neighborhoods.

Magnolia Bay

Village Neighborhood

Magnolia Bay is one of River Landing's Village neighborhoods, located near the main entrance. Wooded, pond-oriented, and golf-adjacent homesites create a mix of surroundings within this compact section of the community.

Maple Creek

Residential Neighborhood

Maple Creek is a Residential neighborhood located in the central portion of River Landing, beginning near the clubhouse and fitness center. Golf course, pond-adjacent, wooded, and interior homesites are found throughout the neighborhood.

Red Berry

Estate Neighborhood

Red Berry is one of River Landing's Estate neighborhoods, located near the center of the community. It features a mix of golf course, pond-oriented, and interior homesites, with wooded buffers surrounding much of the neighborhood.

Red Fox Run

Residential Neighborhood

Red Fox Run is one of River Landing's Residential neighborhoods, located near the center of the community. A mix of golf course, pond-oriented, and interior homesites gives the neighborhood a range of views and surroundings.

River Bend

Estate Neighborhood

River Bend is one of River Landing's Estate neighborhoods, located along the Northeast Cape Fear River. The neighborhood consists of a small collection of riverfront homesites surrounded by the river and mature woodlands.

River Ridge

Estate Neighborhood

River Ridge is one of River Landing's larger Estate neighborhoods, extending through the southern portion of the community. Its homesites include riverfront, golf course, pond-oriented, and interior settings across a broad section of River Landing.

RiverStone

Estate Neighborhood

RiverStone is one of River Landing's Estate neighborhoods, located along the Northeast Cape Fear River. With the river wrapping around much of the neighborhood, RiverStone features a mix of riverfront, pond-oriented, golf course, and wooded homesites.

River Village Square

Village Neighborhood

River Village Square is one of River Landing's Village neighborhoods, located just inside the community's main entrance. It includes a mix of pond-oriented and interior homesites, with two central ponds serving as the neighborhood's defining feature.

River Woods

Residential Neighborhood

River Woods is one of River Landing's Residential neighborhoods, located in the eastern portion of the community. The neighborhood includes a mix of lake-oriented, wooded, and interior homesites, with mature trees shaping much of its character.

Sycamore Forest

Residential Neighborhood

Located just inside River Landing's east gate, Sycamore Forest is a Residential neighborhood with pond-oriented, wooded, golf course, and interior homesites. Ponds and mature woodlands are found throughout much of the neighborhood.

Sycamore Glenn

Residential Neighborhood

Sycamore Glenn sits just inside River Landing's east gate, where golf course, pond-oriented, and interior homesites are arranged between several fairways and water features.

Sycamore Lakes

Residential Neighborhood

Sycamore Lakes is one of River Landing's Residential neighborhoods, located just inside the community's east gate. Water is a defining part of the neighborhood, with a large lake and several smaller ponds creating a mix of water-oriented and interior homesites.

The Bluffs

Estate Neighborhood

The Bluffs is one of River Landing's Estate neighborhoods, located in the southern portion of the community. Larger homesites are spread across a mix of wooded and pond-oriented settings, with portions of the neighborhood extending toward the Northeast Cape Fear River.

The Falls

Residential Neighborhood

Located in the southern portion of River Landing, The Falls is one of the community's Residential neighborhoods. Its homesites are positioned among the golf course and several ponds, creating a mix of golf course, water-oriented, and interior settings.

The Pines

Residential Neighborhood

The Pines is one of River Landing's Residential neighborhoods, located near the community's main entrance. Ponds and wooded areas are woven throughout the neighborhood, creating a mix of water-oriented, wooded, and interior homesites.

The Vineyards

Residential/Estate Neighborhood

The Vineyards is a large River Landing neighborhood located across NC 41 from the main community. It includes both Residential and Estate homesites, with a mix of water-oriented, wooded, and interior settings spread throughout the neighborhood.
